Uncaught Error after follow the tutorial: Create dynamic menu navigation

I've followed your tutorial "Create dynamic menu navigation" to test a dynamic menu navigation. It does not work.

Six years ago (time goes fast), I already had problems (see http://www.webassist.com/forums/posts.php?id=25790), so I gave up. But now I have time and an idea that I want to test using WebAssist.

First, CSS Menu Writer does not seem to finish completely. It does not save the file and the progress window does not end (see attached image).

Then, when I test the file in the browser, I get an error message: "Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function mysql_select_db () in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/dynamicMenu/CSSMenuWriter/cssmw/menu.php:53 Stack trace: # 0 /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/dynamicMenu/index.php(21): require_once () # 1 {main} thrown in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/dynamicMenu/CSSMenuWriter/cssmw/menu.php on line 53 ".
