Buttons Worked, Now Don't?

I have a page coded with the Dreamweaver PayPal plugin and It was working great, then we started getting emails that the transactions went through and received the funds but the return success URLs no longer resolve back to the site? I reprogrammed the buttons twice now and have talked with tech support at paypal. The only thing I can think of is that when people use bank accounts instead of credit cards the process takes about 2-4 business days to clear and then the success URL never gets fired due to the long processing. Has anyone else had this problem? Also my client went into her back-end paypal account and had set her auto-return to "on" under "My Account" then "Profile" then "Website Preferences" and had hard coded a return URL into the field there? Could this break everything? The website page is page4.html and was working flawlessly for so long now we are scratching our heads on what went wrong?
