trying to pick out random database records have got tuck can you hlp

have used thin the past but that involved randomly seleteding records from the wole database

STEP1 sleeted all record into array , sliced and shuffled array total rows is no of records in database

STEP2 Use the final array to print by record no

What i would like to do is filter the rects in STEP1 and repot on them

[DB_Random] => Array ( [0] => 9 [1] => 11 [2] => 5 [3] => 10 [4] => 6 [5] => 7 ) ) filtered record numbers
this should read
[DB_Random] => Array ( [0] => 9 [1] => 21 [2] =>25 [3] => 1 [4] => 86 [5] =>67 ) ) actual database record number required to be stored not the filtered record number
