Follow the tutorial, How to build an admin-driven paypal store

I’m new to WebAssist plug-in. I bought the Super Suite. I am try to build a website to sale small items on the internet. I was trying to follow along with the “How to build an admin-driven paypal store” from the Webassist youtube page. I define my site in dreamweaver cs6 and under the advanced tab I made sure to set the test server as PHP MySQL. Made a blank database in xampp MySQL. Made the My SQL connextion and tested it, it was good.
Downloaded the test data from the youtube How to build an admin-driven paypal store tutorial. I imported the files and follow along as it went.
When I try to display the admin_insert.php page in a browser it gave me this error. Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function mysql_pconnect() in C:\xampp\htdocs\all4u2c\Connections\all4u2c.php:9 Stack trace: #0 C:\xampp\htdocs\all4u2c\admin\admin_insert.php(1): require_once() #1 {main} thrown in C:\xampp\htdocs\all4u2c\Connections\all4u2c.php on line 9
I made sure the MySQL and Apache was run in XAMPP, I still got the same error.
Can someone please tell me what I’m doing wromg?
