Unable to "test" recordset to see data ... need guidance on DW config?

Re: "DW putting up a web page and gets the data from a php page" ... I am not familiar with this, and tried to search to find out more about this but couldn't find anything ... where would I find these DW created pages? (I am familiar with the DW connectivity files created and placed in _mmServerScripts folder).

Also, I checked with my hosting provider "Our server configuration does not allow remote access to our MySQL servers" ... this is why I think I can't access the data via DW from my hosting provider.
