PHP URL only displays first record

Hi - I have built a simple MySQL database. Linked it up in dreamweaver and created a recordset of all records. There are just 4 at the moment as a test. What I want to do is have a page with a form on to update a record (wrong tel number etc) but on loading the page like:

http://localhost/pws/WebFiles/index.php?id=1 - - - THIS WORKS OK
http://localhost/pws/WebFiles/index.php?id=2 - - - This just displays record 1

And in fact if i say :

http://localhost/pws/WebFiles/index.php?tomato=red ( red and tomato are nothing to do with anything )

It still displays the details for record 1

Am I doing something completley wrong here ?

Thank you in advance

Steve
