I don't think that I'm understanding exactly what you are hoping to accomplish. When it comes to the images that you upload for the products in the back end it will create the thumbnail and larger image to view at this time. There is no way to make it create alternately colored versions from the uploaded images.

When it comes to adding images to the description this is not supported within the iRite instance used in PowerStore. However since you can use the source button to view and edit the html code directly you could put in an image this way. When in the source you would just need to add in an img tag and set the src attribute to a valid web source for the image like this:

<img src="http://your_image_location_here.jpg" alt="" />

Please post back about the initial part if I have got it wrong.
