MySQLi user authentication on multiple variables

I have an event with 5 different things a person can sign up to see. Their registration has been set in the table to show using 5 columns (set to 1) for whatever session they want to see. I need to change the user authentication method so that it checks to see IF any of those columns are set to 1 before it will log them in. User could have just Session1 or possible Session1 and Session3 .. how can we recode it so that the user will get authenticated if ANY of those columns are selected?
