I am getting this error message from deprecated mysql
I've switched on php/mysql errors and I am seeing this message:
Deprecated: mysql_pconnect(): The mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future: use mysqli or PDO instead in /home/abc/b/website/user/htdocs/Connections/PowerCMSConnection.php on line 9
I am aware of what it means, but does it mean that eventually the websites I have been building with pre MySQLi extensions will stop working? If so, that means I have to recode all pages affected don't I?
Are the other extensions going to be available soon for MySQLi? When they are, I assume that we'll be able to double click an existing server behaviour to update any code, but does this also apply to any dynamic content on the page, or will we have to reapply that content?
