Values not being stored at checkout

I have 2 values that I aren't being stored in the database on the Confirm page and I can't figure out why. I have a comment field and a checkbox for opting into a newsletter, both pulled from the Checkout page, both session variables. They seem to be set up properly and I can output the values without a problem. There's another session variable for the cc_type that is stored in the same Orders table correctly.

I've attached the Checkout and Confirm pages. This is the project Ray was consulting on earlier.

Thanks for your help.
