Losing content from text area fields when updating profile

Losing content from text area fields when updating profile

The member-users of the website I created are losing the entire content of some of the fields in my update form. It only happens with the text area fields, not text fields. I'm not sure if this has been happening all along or if it just started. The website is over 2 yrs. old.
