mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future

Good morning, I have a range of suites from WebAssist that I built a CRM with 2 years ago. Recently I updated my WAMP which has upgraded both PHP & Mysql, now whenever I attempt to use the DataAssist inside Dreamweaver CS4 it throws errors like 'mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future'.

If I edit the connection string to msqli it connects but then throws all sorts of other errors, I am guessing as the output code is mysql and not msqli.

Is there any way around this as I am now stuck on any further development with this CRM, even though the actual site itself works fine on live hosting?

I notice my suites have been superseded with Databridge, would this output the msqli code that will be safe going forward?

Many thanks

Gary
