Think I found what you're referring to, but sending the page along as an attachment.
This was working fine on the older server but not on the new one. Just get the alternate download error message I had created. The new server is linux running cPanel if that makes any difference.
The particulars of this configuration are that the download file directory is being pulled from the table as well as the file name due to the fact that different items are stored in different directories on the server. It's been quite a while since I originally created all of this.
Don't recall the exact logistics but I had had to add "../" in front of the file folder for it to work correctly before. That doesn't work on the new server and neither does removing the :../" or changing it to "../../"
I no longer have access to the old server so I'm not exactly sure how the user / website structure may differ between what was the old server and the new one or if it even does.
The download file folders are at the same directory level as the public_html directory. (Outside of public_html in the same directory as.)
If it makes any difference, folder permissions on the download folders are 0755.
I'm stumped!
