Chrome losing session values ?

This is a strange phenomenon which I cannot pin down but if anyone has any advice, I would love to hear it.

I have a store using ecart 6, and it is generally working well.

However, my clients home computer, when trying to process a transaction, the transaction will always fail with chrome (latest version)

The transaction is processed fine in IE 11 on the same machine, and in chrome on a different machine, - so I am assuming it has something to do with the browser settings.

In chrome on this particular machine - going through the checkout process, if you cancel and go back to the site at any stage, or if you attempt to purchase, you are redirected back to the site, and always to the cart, which is always empty.

Also I noticed if I am logged in to the site as an administrator and go through the purchasing process, when I am redirected back to the (empty) cart page, if i go back to an admin page, i am still logged in, an I can then view the cart page after this, and the item is back in the cart again, !!

I have tried to reproduce this on 4 machines now, and it only occurs on this particular machine, in chrome.

Thanks
