Pull database data into a style tag?

Anyone know how or if it's possible to bind a recordset data into a CSS or inline in a tag? Something along the lines of this (which does not work)

<div style="background-color:#<?php echo $row_store['MenuColor']; ?>"> TEXT HERE</div>

I have tried using this in the php page and in a separate style sheet.

I do not want to have to create a separate CSS for each user and would rather just add a few fields in the Users table that can output the styles but I don't know of any other way to do this.
