How to email a password based on Email address and a Username

hi there

I have built a website for a housing company whereby users can register more than once using the same email address but with a different property code (displayname) for each account. The property code (displayname) serves as the unique value when logging in to their accounts.

I'm trying to set up the Forgot Password page to do the following:

1. User enters their email address, and their unique code (displayname)
2. The password is sent to their email address, but needs to be the password that corresponds to their unique code as entered (displayname)

I can get it to work as standard by looking up the email address... but stuck on getting it to lookup the unique (displayname) to send the correct password...

Any ideas ?

many thanks
