add multiple products to ecart (not utilising a checkbox)

I have created pages to add multiple items to a cart with a single click, (with ecart and dataassist search using the checkbox method), but would like to have the same functionality, except not using a checkbox, but relying on the post values of the quantity fields alone, so that the cart is populated if the qty field value is > 0.

Is this something that is easy to by adapting the dataassist search method, or do I need to hand code it ?

UPDATE

I guessed that if I don't bother with the 'Add to Cart' recordset, it could work, as items will not be added to the cart if their quantity is zero anyway.

Seems to work, and a lot easier then the checkbox method
