ecart 5 (static cart) display manager help

Hi - My business has 4 products but each product has 7 to 9 product options (text fields, dropdown boxes). On my cart page, I can get it to list all the product options along with what the customer has entered for those options. My problem is that I don't want the cart to list an option for a product that does not have that option. (Ex: 2 products have the option of motif and 2 do not) How would I go about fixing this?

And my second question is exactly what is meant when I select a product option as unique?

Thanks, Christie
