Update page redirect - checkbox

I have the checkbox for my agree to terms default as unchecked, I am not sure what I should have done, maybe just a text field where the user types YES - ?
Because now when the page is updated is still stays as unchecked because it redirects back to the page. OR maybe when the redirect is resolved the checkbox issue will resolved. So task 1 - Get the page to redirect to my-acount-php
I tried this both with and without line 90 commented out.

$WA_redirectURL = "my-account.php";
// if (function_exists("rel2abs")) $WA_redirectURL = $WA_redirectURL?rel2abs($WA_redirectURL,dirname(__FILE__)):"";

hopefully that solves the problem and then the box will stay checked. However if the user returns back to this page I want the checkbox to be whatever is in the server, so either YES which is populated by checking or blank if not checked. ie I don't want the user to have to check the box each time they visit the page and I want to be sure the value YES is not removed.
