Cannot upload product images

When creating new products in an initial installation of PowerStore, I am unable to upload product images.

error msg
File is too large, or your upload temporary directory is not configured properly.
Your php.ini settings are: upload_max_filesize : 2M, post_max_size: 8M, upload_tmp_dir:

I have checked my server powerstore directory permissions and all are rwx rwx rwx except for Connections, imagesadmin, imagesupload, and webassist which are all rwx r-x r-x . These directories have a hidden owner - www - and I cannot change their permissions.

If I need to start over and reinstall PowerStore - which I am willing to do, please tell me how to remove or change the existing MySQL database.
