Cannot log in as super admin or admin any more.

users_login.php to powercms was working and now neither super admin nor admin can sign in. Checked the super admin in wa_settings and admin in pcms2_users. Tested the powercmsConnection file and it connects successfully. Ran sessionTest - okay. Ran diagnostic.php from install_cms and checked out okay. All powercms files in CMS folder so checked database root name. Can't find it in wa_settings but in kfm_directories there is 'root' i tried changing it to /root/CMS/ but that didn't help. When attempting to login with correct user and password, i get ?accesscheck=%2FCMS%2Fadmin_cms%2Findex.php in the address bar and the users_login.php file is still displaying. When i use an incorrect user and/or password i get only ?failed=1. i can also use the Edit in Dreamweaver option in Dreamweaver and update to the database but i cannot use Edit in Powercms option because it takes me to logiin page and i cannot login using super admin. I am attaching snapshots of database and powercmsConnections file and the url of the login page. i am using @session_start(); in WA_ files. It appears that function WA_AuthenticateUser($WA_Auth_Parameter) is returning $UserAuthenticated as false; Thank you for your help.
