Problems editing a previously created form using FB - RESOLVED
I used Security Assist to automatically create the initial login form along with client_Registration.php.
I decided to edit the client_Registration.php form with Form Builder to add a Captcha. When I click Insert->Web Assist - FormBuilder, after having my cursor in the existing form. I click Edit on the Choose a form section of the Wizard. It displays the next window where I see Group: 1 displayed. I click on Group: 1 and then click edit and it shows the current form, but all the names for the fields show the field names from the database rather than the names I had saved. Example is first_name rather than the label that was First Name:
So I went in to each Line number, clicked on the label, renamed it to the more user friendly name (e.g. first_name became First Name:, last_name became Last Name: etc.) and clicked Apply for each label name. I also added validation where I wanted it and eventually saved proceeded to click Finish.
The form looked correct, but I realized that although I had added Captcha as a new line and changed it from text to Captcha, the Captcha didn't appear in the form when I had clicked Finish.
So I decided to go back to the form and try to insert the Captcha again. Problem is that all of the label fields that I had changed don't show up correctly and I have to redo all of the labels yet again. It's as if there is no way to edit an existing form without having to re-label all of the fields each time.
Is there something wrong with what I'm doing or is this how FB behaves? I also saved the work I had done as a category and type and gave it a unique name. Problem is the labels still show the field names from the database that are there rather than the labels I had created.
Then I decided to use a blank php page and use FB rather than SA to create a login form as a test. When inserting the form I chose Log in as the form and chose Sharp as the design. I finished the work and it created the necessary fields on the page. Then I decided I wanted to try adding another field to the login page. How in the heck is this done? I tried the steps I described above for an existing form and couldn't get it to work at all (couldn't see it as an existing form).
What I would like to do is use what exists in the form be it created from SA or FB and add fields or change labels, etc. using FB. Problem is, how is this done? There doesn't seem to be a mode where I can double-click the form or select a tool that will allow me to modify the form after saving it and make the incremental changes I need to make without having to re-label all the label names. In the case of the login form built using FB I couldn't find a way to even edit that form although it was created using FB.
I read the getting started guide for FB and there is a statement on page 5 of the pdf where it has a title "Customizing form elements and modifying validation" The next sentence says there is an edit form interface of CSS Form Builder that allows you to modify each individual form element.... How/where is this "Edit Form interface" that's mentioned?
