trying to add options in powerstore 4.5

I am trying to add options to the classes that are being taught on Thursday and Saturday. It is the same class being taught on both days and I figured out how to add the day of the week as an option. For some of the classes the students can buy the supplies they need for that class. I would like to be able to add the option to the class day but adding the supplies does not increase the inventory of the classes which are limited to 8 students. I cannot seem to figure out how to do this if it is even possible. I have put a link in the cart description to have the students be able to add the supplies from there but I would like to be able to do it from the options, if at all possible.
