Power store 4.5, dreamweaver, XAMPP

Running win7, Dreamweaver CS5, XAMPP.

I got the wizard to work by copying all the PS4.5.3 files into (c:\xampp\htdocs\PS-website).

The Store Manager for modifying the website...points to files in (c:\xampp\htdocs\PS-website).

In the past in dreamweaver, my files would be in (c:\dreamweaver\PS-website) and when I wanted to test with live view, dreamweaver would update files on testserver (c:\xampp\htdocs\PS-website).

I need to make changes to website by adding a new arrivals lightbox gallery on the home page.

My question is procedural...
I can point my website in dreamweaver to c:\xampp\htdocs\PS-website instead of c:\dreamweaver\PS-website. Is is the correct way to proceed?
