Prevent invalid upload of File Names

I also want users to be able to upload files, and then for other users to be able to select from the uploaded files what they need to download - (as the freebie Silentum Uploader does!) When a file is uploaded, the uploaded file name/link is not displayed. How does someone select a file to download?

Is this possible just with DFPro? How?
