SuperSuite vs Joomla! or Drupal, etc.?

I think you are being a bit harsh on drupal, joomla and wordpress.

They are all very good applications in their own right - but it depends what you want to do.

Downside is that with no programming knowledge, you have rely heavily on other peoples expertise if you want your site to have particular features.

Many people criticise sites based on the above can look a bit 'samey', but with good templates and some css skills, you can overcome that to some extent,

I think some coding experience will help you whatever route you take, the benefit of using the super suite is that your project will certainly be more bespoke, and (I believe) you'll have a lot more fun in the process and a great feeling of achievement when you get there.
