Universal Email and STARTTLS?

I´m trying to use Universal Email with eCart5 to send an order confirmation email to the user.
The SMTP server uses STARTTLS with username and password.

Unfortunately, I can´t find any settings for username or password in the mail object. The help page (html-hel..._settings.html) doesn´t mention them either.
How and where can I specify the STARTTLS parameters for the SMTP connection?
