site home page and powerstore home page

Hi ,
I'm creating a new ecommerce site with Power Store.
The directions say to install Power Store files to it's own directory and make sure to name it "powerstore". However, I want the Powerstore home page to also be my sites main home page.
Right now I have it set up and installed on my local server with the "powerstore" as it's own directory.
When I open the site, lush, nothing is shown (which makes sense). To navigate to the home page of the powerstore it the path looks like this "http://localhost/lush/powerstore/index.php"
Do you recommend that I create an index.html page in my root folder (lush/index.html) that redirects it to the lush/powerstore/index.php page (keeping the "powerstore" in it's own directory)? Or can I just install the files within the "powerstore" folder to my root directory so the home page of the site is the same home page shown in powerstore?

Thanks for your help,
- D
