PowerMessenger triggered security shutdown..,
After successfully sending 188 emails.., 1and1 abruptly shut down my site.
Within moments I received an email from "1&1 Internet Inc., Abuse Department" indicating a threat.
After speaking with their security team they informed me the messages were being sent "through the webspace" and triggered the perceived attack. It was NOT the amount OR how quickly the messages were sent, it was HOW they were dispatched.
Obviously I missed some configuration setting somewhere..,
I just reread the "PowerMessenger Getting Started Guide" and the only difference I can see is that powermessenger is not in the root of my website.
Please help!
