Here is the message from my hosting support
"We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Unfortunately, we do not support remote connections for accessing the database on our platform. You can use phpMyAdmin tool or any connection string to access the database."
So I took off my localhost testing server and just checked off both boxes. That worked. Not sure what the difference is .. but it worked. Files uploaded and I added content to the page that was included in the upload without issue.
Now I have another problem .. not sure if it is linked...
- then I opened another page and tried to upload the snippet
- CRASH
- Dreamweaver/WebAssist wants to upload (again) the database connection. Huh? It's already up there and working fine from the looks of it.
Did I miss a step? How do I now indicate that the connection file is there? It crashes consistently now.
Help? Thanks.
