Update page Checkbox

sorry that's what i get for typing while half asleep

I need to know how I add a checkbox to my update and insert pages that will allow my user to check and uncheck the box. I have field that will be listing a job position as New/Urgent. When it is checked ( with a tinyint value of "1") it will show up in the New/Urgent section of the site and when unchecked it will show up only in the general jobs listings on the site.

Right now I have been changing the text input fields into a checkbox with the same value info but it does nothing when I try to update the data or even when I check the field on the Insert page.

Sorry for the confusion. Hope this makes sense now.
