Display order value on confirmation email

Once a customer places an order the payment respose from worldpay generates a confirmation email which is sent to the customer. This email displays the details of the order from a recordset linked to the orders and orderdetails tables.

The email displays the order subtotal before tax from the orders table but the client also wants to display the order value (sum of the cost of all the products before any charges).

Can this be displayed on the email or does it need to be passed to worldpay as a custom variable.

Attached are the confirm page and the email body.
