this is how the cart display is supposed to work.
the Shopping Cart section is supposed to display information about the items that are purchased, and the Order Summary section shows a summary of the sub to total, discounts, shipping, and taxes.
When creating the cart display page, on the second page, you can select cart columns to add to the display, on the third page you can select how to show the shipping, discounts, and taxes. But the shipping wont be shown in the Cart information area, that area is for line item information of the cart, it does not make sense to show shipping there.
