well, if you want to use the same results page for both, you will need to recreate it using the data assist search wizard so that the search uses the GET method. this way the results page can use the same recordset whether you are using the links or the search box.

In the data assist search wizard, create the search form to have the category text field, and the keyword text field for searching the names. use the category text field search to give you an example of how to create the URLS for your links, once you create the links, you can remove it so you only have the keyword search field.
