Uploading images and files

hey guys

Why is it that, if a client wants to upload an image or a file, there is no way to access the folder(s) directly without having to go through the 'browse server' option when adding an image or creating a link to a file?

This would imply that all images or files would be new and that there would be no need to update them ever...which obviously isnt always the case!

Is there a workaround for this at all as it can be a pain....?

Cheers

Jamie
