Returning to Results page default filter settings after Search

Using DataAssist Wizard, php and MySQL.

My Results page(s) incorporates some of the same Search fields from the Search page in it. I find it very handy option to include while running the Wizard. After running the search functions from either the page, and even flushing the browser cache manually, I have to open a new browser and reload the original Results page to get the default configured filtering results. The variables are set to the last search criteria. What options do I have to return without opening a new browser window? Like a master Results page that takes you to a separate sub-results page when you do a search, then link back to the main page? Simply run DataAssist to create a Results (home/index) page only. Or a reset button on the Results (not sure if I would use DW search for a second search on the same page)?

I would like this for my admin area but it also be applied for a catalogue shop/index main page that shows the features but also includes search functionality on the page. I could then redirect to a specific sub-Results page.
