Duplicate email receipts and Cart disappears

Hello,

I am running into 2 issues.
After completing an order, the customer receives 2 emails, one with the correct info formatted correctly and the other is blank - not sure why.

The other issue is: I set up a quote cart where if the product is $0.00 then the detail page will show the add to cart button. When I click on the add button the cart page comes up blank (although the header, footer, side menu, etc renders fine). When I set the price to $1.00 and select the add button the cart renders with the correct info. If the quantity is >0 then shouldn't it show in the cart regardless of price?

My goal is to hide the price and totals in the email receipt if the total is = 0 as to not confuse the consumer and to keep it flexible enough to show the price if the client wants to complete transactions down the road.

Thanks.
Rob
