Catpcha Server Validation Procedure

I followed the process in "Copying Security Features to your existing form" to add Captcha to my existing form. Everything when fine and the captcha image shows up on the page with the text box - all that looks fine.

I already have client side validation set up on the form for two text boxes - which works fine too (the form will not submit if those text boxes aren't filled).

If the captcha image is not entered - it will just return to the blank form without submitting (good up to this point) - however, it will not bring up the message stating that the captcha image was entered incorrectly.

When I follow the tutorial "Applying the Validation Show If Behavior" - Dreamweaver tells me "Making this change would require changing code that is locked by a template or a translator. The change will be discarded."

Is this the proper process to follow for a message to be returned stating that the captcha image was improperly filled out?

AND

Where exactly is it trying to put the code in the page (I have opened the <head> editable region as much as possible)?

Thanks for the assistance . . . you guys rock!
