"Nested" Search Conditions

"Nested" Search Conditions

Jason:

The customized search pages I created using the DataAssist Wizard are working fine, but I'm wondering whether it's possible to "nest" a search into the existing search.

My search criteria is using only the "AND" operand, which is OK for my purposes, but we would like to use a "nested" operand such as this one:

...Where condition "a" AND condition "b" AND ([condition #1] OR [condition #2] OR [condition #3]), meaning, all the other conditions AND one or all of the three conditions in parentheses.

As you know, if I use the plain "OR" operand for any of the three conditions in the parenthesis, the Wizard will select ALL of the other criteria OR one of the stated conditions, which is not what we want. We would like it to select ALL of the other criteria AND one of the stated conditions.

Would you know the line of code I would have to insert in order to accomplish this? I hope my explanation was clear. (Please note that I'm a self-taught guy and I never studied SQL)

As usual, thank you for your attention.
