In this situation, I am using XAMP, and I've given myself all rights (or all the boxes are checked under "priviledges").

I am also getting exactly the same problem and there doesn't seem to be a lot of support from WebAssist - I've followed the documention supplied to the letter and frankly am rapidly becoming despondent, dismayed and dubious about purchasing anything ever again - why does it have to be like this? web assist used to be brilliant.
