Browse Server in HTML Editor is not showing images

I have had this workingbefore, however for some reason now it's not.

When I want to insert an image into a HTML Editor instance I click on the Image icon which brings up the Image Properties pop-up. I then click on Browse Server. The File Manager pop-up page displays as it should, with the exception that there are no thumbnails displayed.

I have enabled Show Directories so I get a grey panel on the left, however there are no directories listed and no thumbnails in the main area to the right.

If I use the Browse button at the top, select an image and then click Upload, then the thumbnails all appear. Still no directory listing on the left.

I have had to re-install HTML Editor after the Webassist>Forms>Insert File Manager windows was unresponsive, however I've checked all the various settings and everything seems correct.

I would very much appreciate help to get it working again.

Windows 7 64Bit
Dreamweaver CS5
HTML Editor (3.0.2)
GD2 enabled in php.ini

EDIT:
It must be to do with the paths and folders. I tried another page, which did not have a Sub-folder specified in the HTML Editor instance settings and the thumbnails do appear.

I thought that any sub-folders that you set there will be "under" the folder that's set in the WebAssists>Forms>HTML Editor>Site Settings box?
