I created pages using security assist.. everything is fine i know how to do it.. but during registration i want da new users to add a username.. it must be unique n required * .. n while signing in they must use dr username.. but when i try from security assist its not happening.. so wt i did was i created all those pages.. den i went to my Mysql n in same table i inserted a field called username .. so it came dr.. den whn i went again to insert security assist pages it came dr.. but all this is fine.. But da problem arises at few places..
Wt exactly i did is.. In 1st page of security assist page, i made UserID as UserID itself..
den username as username ( new field inserted )
den password as userpassword k..
then in manage pages under dat in registration i just need username 1stname last name email password n confirm password dats it.. k.. i made this all.. nw under registration , i went to configure field setting den thr at bottm i made username label as username,, type-text..unique*...Required*.. k? made min required char as 4.. n under validation type as none..
Nd in login page username n password required to login..
So after i added all these n whn pages r created r fine...
BUT THERE IS A SLIGHT PROBLEM HERE..
Lets say 1st user registers with username- webassist n email-webassist@gm.com
its fine works..
den again if som1 uses same username as above is used by some1 den it get this error during registration -
------------- Duplicate entry 'username' for key 'Username' -----------
but it doesnt get stored in database..
So whenever sm1 uses already used username den i get dat error.. So please temme wt to do here..
Not just dat much when if same email used above tries to register again with different username it gets registered in database.. how dats possibile whn it has to be unique ?
