Trying to get to work a more simple registration

I 've bought PowerMessenger a few days ago, set it up and I really looking forward
to use it and the functionality it's providing for our mailings.

But with one thing I am not happy. The registering process is much to complicated!
With what I know about marketing you will want to make it as easy as possible for
an user to subscribe to your email list. It's not a good thing to have several steps
involved in this process and it's definitely NOT A GOOD THING to bother him with
having to create a password!

What I think is working best is just a form on your homepage or the page with the
offer with a field where the user can enter his email-address, maybe another field
for the name and a register-button, that's all. To provide the functionality to set
this up is what I would expect from a professional newsletter tool - and this is
what I expected as I bought PowerMessenger!

Now I am trying to accomplish this manually ...

Based on the full-registration page of PowerMessenger I have built a page with our
offer, the form with two formfields and the register button. I deleted all formfields
and the belonging code I don't want to have on the page. It works so far that if
the register-button is pressed all the needed information is propperly inserted in
the database.

What is not working is the forwarding to the "thank you" page. I guess that has to
do with the php code for sending the registration-email and the "accesscheck".
I can't figure out what this "accesscheck" is doing exactly - maybe it isn't working
because I use no password and in the database password field is inserted: NULL (?)
Also the registration-email is not sent.

So, I am stuck here with these issues:

1. How get I the page to forward correctly to the "thankyou" page after register-button is pressed?

2. How get I the registration-email sent?

Any help on this is grateful appreciated!

Files of my "offer" and "thankyou" page are attached.

Thank you!
