email error if protecting a page with SA

I have a working registration page which emails out a random password once registration is complete.

If I protect it with an SA rule, I get the following error.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wa_striptags() (previously declared in /home/content/g/e/o/georgevargas1/html/webassist/security_assist/mail_php.php:268) in/home/content/g/e/o/georgevargas1/html/webassist/email/mailformatting_php.php on line 346

The only change to the protected file is the following;

<?php require_once( "../webassist/security_assist/helper_php.php" ); ?>
<?php
if (!WA_Auth_RulePasses("SuperAdmin")){
WA_Auth_RestrictAccess("admin_signin.php");
}
?>

If I unprotect the page again the error goes away.

The email password was on this page was setup with UE. not Security Assist.

I have included the Mail.php file.
