which rule is causing this oddity?

the menu i am working on - at - sequoiapacificmortgage-team.php has an odd thing about it. On the url above, and only on that page, but not when the home page is current or the contact us page is current for examples, does hovering over the other top menu buttons are smaller in height, then when hovering over the buttons from the other pages. on all the other pages when they are current, does hovering over the menu items seem to create the 'tab' effect, where the buttons are of a sufficient height to close that gap between the bottom of the button to the top of the division below it...
i have checked but apparently have missed something. any suggestions welcome!
thanks in advance
eddie
