html editor users

We have some pages on our site that simply upload to the upload folder and our new Barrel Racing events updates to the uploadEditor. Can we program our insert and update pages on our barrel racing events to take advantage of the userid folder and not affect the other forms on the site that are using the older version of the html editor and NOT uploading to the new uploadEditor folder? If so, what is the procedure to program our insert and update pages to upload the the users id's folder. It uploadEditor/175 would be userID 175. Thank You
