neilo

Just a brief interruption from me,

Just to satisfy my curiosity, (because this is puzzling) could you do a couple of tests - which probably won't yield any useful results but might let me relax a bit?

Test 1

Open Preferences > Invisible Elements > and check the box for 'Anchor points for AP elements' and click OK.

Do the anchor points for your Menu Elements show up in your page? Let us know if they do. Either way, after that, you can go back and un-check that box again.

Test 2

Open Preferences > Invisible Elements > and UNcheck the box for Scripts. Click OK.

IN DW Menu Bar go to Window > Workspace Layout > and click on 'Reset 'xxxxxxx' ' (the x's would be the name of your current layout) Third item from bottom).

Save any work, close Dreamweaver. Then re-open Dreamweaver, Open Preferences > Invisible Elements > and re-check the box for Scripts. Click OK.

Is it still just the same?

Test 3

IN DW Menu Bar go to Window > Workspace Layout > and choose a different layout, i.e. classic, or designer.

Any sign of a pesky script icon?

You can then go back to select your original layout.
