This really is not something that needs a screen sharing session to resolve.

the simplest solution will be to use select lists for the expiration month and year as I have suggested twice now:

<select name="exp_month" id="exp_month">

    <option value="01">January</option>
    <option value="02">February</option>
    <option value="03">March</option>
    <option value="04">April</option>
    <option value="05">May</option>
    <option value="06">June</option>
    <option value="07">July</option>
    <option value="08">August</option>
    <option value="09">September</option>
    <option value="10">October</option>
    <option value="11">November</option>
    <option value="12">December</option>
  <br />
  <select name="exp_year" id="exp_year">
    <option value="10">2010</option>
    <option value="11">2011</option>
    <option value="12">2012</option>
    <option value="13">2013</option>
    <option value="14">2014</option>
    <option value="15">2015</option>
    <option value="16">2016</option>
    <option value="17">2017</option>
    <option value="18">2018</option>
    <option value="19">2019</option>
    <option value="20">2020</option>

this way you can show the user the friendly month name and 4 digit year, but pass the correct format to the gateway.

If you like, however, you can stick with the text fields.

Keep in mind when applying validation that even though the intention of the text fields is to gather date information, the actual data being collected is just a 2 digit number. so use numeric validation instead.
