Hi I have done everything as listed.
1. Created a recordset, filtered it by column (ProductName) as form variable
2. Created a number validation $totalRows_Recordset1 min -1 max 0
3. Then validated that form field

But I cant get it to work. It keeps inserting the record even though the form field exists. I got it to work before on the registration form but now I have tried it on numerous forms and just cant get it to work. Can you have a look at the file and tell me where I might be going wrong.

Thanks
