CMS Page Update Bug (when using "|" symbol)

Thread began 10/26/2010 1:52 pm by washingtown364312 | Last modified 10/27/2010 2:49 pm by washingtown364312 | 1194 views | 5 replies

CMS Page Update Bug (when using "|" symbol)

When using the CMS to edit content, the CMS does not retain any content after using the "|" symbol.

Steps to reproduce the bug:
Open the Admin CMS in a browser. Login as usual and edit the text content of say the Home page. Type the word "before", then type the "|" symbol, then type the word "after". You really can use anything. But any phrase after the "|" symbol will disappear on clicking the update button. Very frustrating - I lost a lot of original copy that way.

Actual Results:
The CMS will only update content that was placed before the initial "|" symbol.

Expected Results:
I want the CMS to accept the use of the "|" symbol. Also, I would like to be able to edit the source code using Dreamweaver also. How do I do that?
